Each city will have special laws pertaining to that particular race. These laws will be upheld by the "City Leaders". City Leaders do not have to be rp characters, they are simply characters that elected people hold that will punish characters within rps that do no abide by the laws. Think of them as a guiding force. They are here to add real weight to your character's decisions to break laws. If, however, a City Leader comes to abuse his/her power, they will be removed from their post and a new leader will be given a chance to govern the city. The rules ad laws of the City Leaders' usage of this omnipotent power will be very strict so as to inhibit their interrupting rps. They are also bribe-able...The exact nature of the City Leader will be explained fully to those interested in acquiring this position within each of the cities.


Basic Rules of the City Leader


-You may enter an rp and wield your authority only if you can back your reasoning up.

-You must enter the rp as if you were a part of it, not simply swoop out of nowhere and attack the characters

-Punishment within the rp should be fitting the crime, and often, forgiveness and warnings are very good medicine

-Be fair and discuss with the rp-er on what their rp would call for, as well. Are they ready for a scene change? DO they need an excuse to go to another city? Be flexible and accommodating. People will like you better.

-If you become too unwieldy as a city leader, I will have you replaced....period.

An Example

Okay, since I know most of you reading about these city leaders are very confused now, I will give you an example. The easiest to use would be Areneif, our lovely God City Leader. Okay, so we all know that angels are God's lil minions of light, yes? Well, say one of them begins to do not so angelic things, like say.....break the heavenly law of no sex. Well, they'd get a visit from one of God's seraphim acting on His word and they would come down and discuss with you why you're "doing" what you are "doing" and then act out the appropriate judgment, say, anywhere from "don't do it again" to, if the rp-er agrees to the change in scenery, casting them out of Arenief. Make sense? Believe it or not, the rp-er has the most say in the punishment. They get to decide if they want a change in scenery or to get to squirm out of punishment, since it is their story the Leader just swooped into. Just discuss it with your particular leader when the time comes.
