Spica's House Empty
PostSubject: Spica's House   Spica's House EmptyTue Dec 22, 2009 11:04 am

Actually in Obsequium, but as Spica's a Jumper, she can get there from nearly anywhere.

In reality, the "House" is little more than a sectioned off bit of the rabbit's warren of tunnels that wind their way below the demon city. Althouh Spica could- and actually does- maintain a better and more hospitable house, this is where Spica keeps a large amount of her wealth and work items. As a matter of fact, she keeps a number of smaller bases in several of the other cities, to keep things spread out and safe, according to the little demon's inherent paranoia.

From the outside, this particular house looks as if the tunnel had caved in. Large boulders and scree cover either end of the section of the tunnel, and there is no way for anyone or anythng to enter. As the tunnel is in a very out-of-the-way area, none of the department heads in the past six-hundred or so years since Spica had taken up residence there deemed it at all important, so instead of removing the block, they roped it off.

Even if a matenince crew had chosen to try to remove the rubble, they would soon find themselves against a nearly seamless steel capsule feet thick. Spica had gotten a mould years ago and made this reinforced metal wall by herself. Inside is a huge room, filled almost wall-to-wall with plants and electronic devices. The plants are generally of a poisonous nature, though Spica does keep an area strictly for vegetable and herb gardening purposes. The garden itself is mainly in case of a siege, and the herbs double as medicines and antidotes; as I've said before, Spica is nothing if not paranoid.

The plants double as the source of air in the capsule, as she disdains the idea of ventilation shafts. On the other hand, there is a small spring that she coaxes through the floor of her "house" in order to have fresh water for herself and the plants. Of course, she also keeps provisions stored away, in case she needs to block the fist-sized tube, but the little demon usually doesn't worry about it.

Alongside the plants are a myriad of lights flashing on and off, screens flickering, and the whirring of machinery echoes throughout the whole building. These are the hundreds of spying and sneaking technologies that Spica has pilfered or paid for from Tiroch over the years.

In the very back corner, against one of the cold walls, a small cot and dresser stand. These are the only material comforts that the little demon has allowed herself within her base. At the foot of the bed stands a chest. As a final parting gift from her parent, this chest is bottomless, despite its normal appearance from the outside, and it is into here she pours most of her money. She is the only one who can open it,with her fingerprints and aura as the key, and the only one able to escape once the necessary items have been extracted.

Her work clothes she keeps in a chest of drawers by her bed, also locked with her signature. Along with these clothes are hidden any number of the powders and potions she uses to do her work. The little demon keeps a collection of knives along the side of her bed, within easy reach and easy to strap on.

Spica's House Empty
PostSubject: Re: Spica's House   Spica's House EmptySun Jan 03, 2010 7:09 pm

(Jumped from: Blamtroth Inn)

Spica grinned as she stepped down off of a shelf almost overly full of vile-looking plants, petting each and cooing at them matronly. She slipped down from the shelf, patting a rather vicious looking cactus and heaving down the sack of gold alongside her.

"I hope that idiot isn't headed here," Spica sighed as she trudged down a nearly overgrown, narrow pathway through the plants to the back of her "house." In the "back" corner, a small, spartan cot hovered over a flat sea-chest. Dragging it out from under the bed, the little demon undid the combination lock and chains, took a deep breath and spread her palm across it.

With a click, the chest popped open. Spica threw open the lid and tossed in the sack. "There we are!" she chuckled to herself, locking it back and sliding it under the bed. Catching a glance of herself in a small mirror, Spica tossed back her hair and combed it a couple times with her fingers, humming.

Making as little noise as possible, he dropped off yet another bag of money with a smallnote on it. It read;

Alright, here's how I want you to handle this. I don't want a scratch on this robot. Try to make sure no one knows of your prescence, as I'm sure you wouldn't do anyways. Make sure he is memory wiped. Other than that, I left this extra bit of money as a bonus payment. It should be nearly five thousand coins. It's more than enough to buy this waste of a planet. Good luck.

At that, he walked off. He was certain that the money would get his point across. Sheth slipped away into the night, making sure he was out of sight.

To Blamtroth Inn...

Spica's House Empty
PostSubject: Re: Spica's House   Spica's House EmptyThu Jan 14, 2010 11:35 pm

Spica Jumped just outside her "House," still running fingers through her flaming hair and humming quietly. Her singing voice was far from beautiful, husky and off-key as it was, but it served its purpose, and she'd destroy anyone who said it was less than stellar.

Clambering down from a collection of boulders several meters high, Spica snatched up the sack and notes, scanning it carelessly, the little demon stuffed it in the back of her belt and hefted the bag. She'd check the treasure for bugs later, but for now, she deposited it in a neatly concealed safe-box after scanning the area for any traces of her employer.

By closing her eyes and calling on her familiar, Spica could "See" his aura retreating back the way he had come, undoubtedly back to his friends at the inn. The little demon frowned and opened her eyes, thanking her Father that she'd known the elf so well. She Jumped back inside and began considering the slip of paper.

If only he'd bothered to tell me where to start looking, Spica hissed irritably to herself.
