So... Atalya wants me to put together a profile for elves, and this is what I've got thus far... What do you guys think?
Ideas, suggestions, flames, whatever.
We'll have to change the timeline some, too... XP
Some ideas...
Elves:
-known as some of the more knowledgeable peoples
-high moral standards
-closer to nature than humans, but not so much as the weres
-much of their technology is based on the same laws as magic- tit for tat, eye for eye, however you'd like to say it.
-they're also known as some of the more powerful elemental magi, though healers are the most highly prized among the moon elves.
-moon elves are fundamentally peaceful, night elves are more aggressive
-beginning to die out
-live longer than humans, procreate less- children are honored, as are parents
-can be prejudiced against humans or demons and angels. Close to dragonkind.
-there are actually two different city groups within Atra Solum, the moon elves (regular elves) and the night elves (drow)
-night elves and moon elves often have small spats, though they generally get along (albeit at times uneasily).
-night elves tend to live in cities below ground and are a little more prominent, as well as being more "technologically advanced"

But I think a bit more factions should be intorduced into the city. Like maybe there would be four factions instead of two and the night elves and moon elves would be allies. Two other factions would be their counter balances. Maybe you could say Wood Elves and Desert Dwellers for the other factions and have those two be more nature bent... :? And the other two are the dark elf suppliment so that they are all catagorized as elves. The person would just have to choose his faction and begin from there.
